Taba
Technical and Business Assistance for SBIR/STTR Proposers
What is TABA?
TABA is a new program from the government that allows companies to receive funding over and above the SBIR/STTR contract award amount to use specifically for commercialization assistance. Bryant Alliance understands each agency’s process and are here to help your company through the process.
Introduced in 2018, the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019, SBIR awardees can request additional funding for Technical and Business Assistance (TABA). Awardees are permitted to enter into agreements with one or more vendors to provide TABA services including but not limited to: Intellectual Property (IP) support, customer discovery, market assessment, business strategies, manufacturing plan development. TABA funds may not be used for research and development (R&D) activities that are otherwise supported by the grant funds.
